Mayor Chris Coleman believes that education is fundamental to the quality of life in the City of Saint Paul. He has called on the City and its partners to take action by developing the Second Shift Initiative. Through this Initiative, we are creating a seamless learning experience during the out-of-school time, including summer, weekends and school release days for youth 6 to 18 years old. In addition, the Second Shift Initiative engages and develops youth as civic leaders through the Second Shift Youth Commission. As a means to connect children, youth, and families to the wealth of second shift learning opportunities in the community, the Mayor has created the Virtual One Stop Shop. The Virtual One Stop Shop is a web site that allows for children, youth and families to search for second shift programs that match their interests that are either close to their home or school.
Leveraging our libraries, parks, recreation centers, and community learning opportunities will provide Saint Paul's children and youth with safe, positive and engaging places to grow and learn during non-school hours.
Mayor Coleman encourages you to visit the Virtual One Stop Shop which was developed in partnership with the Second Shift Youth Commission and our partners and sponsors. You can find the Virtual One Stop Shop by clicking on the link below.
Working together, we can make the City of Saint Paul the Most Livable City in America.
